Finally, an update.

It's been two weeks since the start of nanowrimo and I have lost all hopes of reaching 50,000. Right now I'm around ten thousand words.

Life is so hectic now, considering I'm writing and rewriting lots of college acceptance essays and scholarship essays.

I'd really like to make 25,000 by December.

Oh no... I'm getting an idea for another story. My nano idea has been building for months and then out of know where this adolescent female punk walks into the picture with a sketchbook and an attitude. Can she wait a month for me to write her?

Registration Begins Tomorrow

Tomorrow starts NaNoWriMo registration for November. I can't wait. Only one month to go. I can't decide if I want to post what I write each day as a I go or just talk about my progress. I guess I'll just post what I have each day. It makes more sense to do that.

Obviously, I'm not going to make 25,000 words for the Fall Warm Up, but now I have an idea of how much 1666 words is in one day. For me it's about 5 pages doubled spaced.

I'm so excited about it!

Today is the start of the "Fall Warm Up". I didn't meet my target, but I'm not really trying for 25,000 in the next two weeks. I'd love 14 or 15 thousand. My life is crazy right now and I barely have enough time to get everything done.

National National Novel Publishing Year (aka NaNoPubYe) is offering a "fall warmup" this year. The challenge is to write 25k in two weeks starting September 25 till October 8th for people who can't wait till November.

Personally, I am someone who can not wait until November. In the next couple of days I'm going to start doing some planning and research. I have an idea about a girl who lives in a vw van and travels around the country meeting friends she hasn't seen in a long time, new friends and writing letters.

It will be in the same style as the November novel and that style is weird.

2 Months

It's exactly two months till November and I'm thrilled and impatient. My very weird story has been building for months, in my head and on paper. I'm doing lots of planning and no writing which is killing me, but it will make for a better story (I hope).

Speaking of my novel, it doesn't exactly have a plot. It is an experiment, hence the title. The experiment is to showcase New York City and a group of people in it that I've created.

My story is going to be like the ones written in the 50's, 60's and 70's where people got high and just wrote whatever came to mind. My novel will not make sense in any form.

Every day in November I'll be posting what I've written in this blog. It won't be edited maybe not even proof read, but it will be posted.
